About the speakers:


Kim Tikellis: is an Advanced Accredited Practicing Dietitian with over 25 years food industry experience in consumer education and food promotion, at diverse companies including Heinz Wattie’s, National Foods, Fonterra and Simplot. Kim gained food regulatory experience working for the federal government in food regulation at FSANZ plus marketing activation experience at Dairy Australia and Nestlé Healthcare Nutrition.

Adding to her diverse skill set, Kim has successfully developed & executed a retail brand strategy for health & wellness for Coles Group Supermarkets to help deliver the Coles vision for healthier & happier Australians.

Kim is a past-President of ILSI International Life Sciences Institute Australasia, and co-convenor of the non-affiliated Food Industry Nutrition Group in Victoria.


Dr Senaka Ranadheera: is a Senior Lecturer in Food Processing & Preservation at the Faculty of Veterinary & Agricultural Sciences at the University of Melbourne. He holds a PhD (Food Science) from the University of Newcastle, Australia. His research interests focus on probiotics and prebiotic food applications. Senaka teaches a number of subjects both at postgraduate and undergraduate levels and is also coordinates the Honours degree program. Along with his research and teaching, Senaka is highly passionate about science communications.


Fiona Fleming: is a Director of FJ Fleming Food Consulting Pty Ltd and CEO of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST). She is an experienced Corporate and Regulatory Affairs professional who has been involved in leading and facilitating change and developing management strategies across a portfolio of food policy and regulation matters in global FMCG and NGO environments. Fiona has more than 30 years’ experience in the food industry in the areas of dairy, seafood, cereal based foods, smallgoods, tea, simmer sauces and pastes, ingredients and infant formula. Fiona has previously worked for a large FMCG company in the role of Group Quality and Corporate Affairs Manager.

Fiona is currently serving as a Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chair of Healthy Kids. Fiona is a member of Allergy and Anaphylaxis Australia, an Associate Member of the Allergen Bureau and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Fiona holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Food Technology) from the University of Queensland and a Masters of Nutrition Management from the University of Wollongong.


Jemma O'Hanlon: is a trusted nutrition expert and Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 17 years’ experience across the food production, foodservice, food manufacturing and public health sectors. Jemma is a Senior Food & Nutrition Advisor at the Heart Foundation and Director of Dietitians Australia. In her spare time you’ll find Jemma out amongst nature, enjoying a run in the sunshine or whipping up delicious dishes in the kitchen.


Theresa Pham: is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and has experience working in public health and the non-for-profit sector. Theresa has worked on complex nutrition programs and Commonwealth funded projects such as the evaluation of the Health Star Rating system to monitor and achieve improvements within the Australian food supply. 

Theresa is highly skilled in food and nutrition data analytics and has a keen interest working on evaluation projects. She also have experience managing one of Australia’s largest food and nutrient databases, FoodTrack™.

Theresa enjoys working collaboratively with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds such as FMCG, retailers, key opinion leaders, health professionals within industry, government, and universities to improve the quality of the Australian food supply and health outcomes of the population.
