In 2022 AIFST conducted an industry survey to gain an understanding of the core competencies that the food industry value of food science and technology graduates from Australian Universities and TAFE. The survey was built from the graduate criteria identified by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) with additional attributes tailoring the survey to the Australian food industry. The results of this survey gives a clear understanding of what competencies the Australian food industry value in food science and technology graduates.
