Celebrating our AIFST Food Science Community Volunteers 

To mark National Volunteer Week, we would like to acknowledge all our dedicated volunteers who selflessly give their time, energy, and skills to make a difference within the AIFST food science community. 

From supporting our national team, getting involved with special interest groups, mentoring those starting out on the food science and technology journey or being on the ground support at local branch initiatives, you all play a pivotal role. 

This year, in recognition of the valuable contributions our volunteers make, AIFST is pleased to announce the launch of its Volunteer of the Month initiative. Each month, we want to celebrate an individual whose dedication and passion exemplify the spirit of volunteerism. We encourage you to nominate deserving candidates via the application form and tell us briefly about their contribution, and why you think they deserve this acknowledgment.

The AIFST team will then assess all nominations by the end of each month, and the Volunteer of the Month will be announced in our monthly Bitesize newsletter. 

A very big thank you to all our volunteers. Your support of AIFST is really appreciated.
