Dr Maria Stewart is a Business Scientist and Clinical Research Lead in the Global Nutrition R&D Group at Ingredion Incorporated. Maria oversees the clinical research program, especially fiber regulatory substantiations and leads scientific research into energy metabolism and healthy blood glucose and digestive health.
Considering a career in food science? Come along to hear about the dynamic and rapidly changing nature of the food industry from both industry and academia. This event provides an opportunity for Queensland-based young professionals to hear from a series of presentations by 4 experts from industry and academia on their experience of the food industry, how their careers started and what opportunities they see in the food industry. This will be followed by a Q&A panel.
Little Creatures was inspired by the beer culture in north-western USA. Its founders wanted to recreate a beer with a distinctive, hoppy, pasteurised flavour. The Freemantle factory is set in a spectacular location and was also designed to ensure the brewing process was more open and transparent. AIFST members and guests, whether they are interested in the end product or the unique process behind it are invited to join a private tour and tasting.
