Strategic Plan 2016-2018
Guiding the exciting new phase of AIFST
Following significant review and consultation with members and stakeholders, in 2015 the AIFST Board approved the 2016-2018 Strategic Plan to guide the next phase of the Institute.
The Strategic Plan recognises the changing Australian and global food industry along with the challenges facing membership organisations worldwide.
As the only national independent voice and network for Australia's food industry professionals supporting and underpinning their contribution to the Australian and global food industry, AIFST strives to advance Australia's food industry as a sustainable, world-leading industry.
The Strategic Plan focuses AIFST's efforts around five key strategic priority areas including:
- Membership Services
- Industry Services
- Skill and Capability Building
The 2016-2018 Strategic Plan will be rolled out over a three-year implementation period to ensure we continue to build a sustainable organisation for the next 50 years. The Strategic Plan implementation will see a rebrand of AIFST under the trading name of Food Australia in recognition of the breadth of our food industry professional membership and the information and services role the organisation plays within the Australian food industry.
