Call them pharmafoods, nutraceuticals or just plain supplements, there is a world of grey that sits between food regulation and therapeutic goods regulation, which is not helped by circular definitions with vague meaning. What you need to know is whether your product is definitely in one camp or the other, or do you have room to manoeuvre.  You need to know what options you have and how to select between them  And you need to know how regulators are likely to see your product, irrespective of what the law might say.

This webinar will provide an overview of the differing regimes, including the option of the NZ Supplemented Foods Standard, and work through the Food Medicine Interface Decision Tree to illustrate the sort of factors that put you in one regime or another.  Presenter Chris Preston has over 30 years’ FMCG experience in private legal practice, government and industry bodies.
