Food Fraud costs the global food industry between $10 - $15 Billion annually. Beyond economic costs, food fraud can harm public health and damage brands. Food safety management systems are traditionally HACCP based, which has been proven to be effective against accidental contamination. However, HACCP principles are not effective in detecting and mitigating deliberate attacks on a system, process or product.
