New qualifications for artisanal food and beverage producers

 

Artisan brewers, distillers, cheesemakers and fermenters can play a key role in developing skill standards for their own industry. The Artisanal Food and Beverage Project is reviewing the skills needed in these industries, identifying and aiming to fill gaps by developing new qualifications and skill sets.

 

The first draft of the proposed qualifications has now been released online and consultation workshops have been scheduled to gather feedback. Skills Impact are keen to know whether these properly describe the job roles and skills of brewers and distillers.
