Building trust in food is one of the most complex problems that business and society must solve.
Australians often take it for granted that everything we eat is safe. Food Fraud is not just an Australian issue, this is a global issue. The criminal’s fraudulent ingredients and/or modifications are specifically engineered to evade the purchasers’ quality assurance and quality control systems.
The adulterants introduced by food fraud are often unconventional substances that are not anticipated by food safety management systems, and only become known after they are well into the supply chain. They also often have a significant effect on product quality and safety. Trutag (micro tag) is a technology-based solution used in the pharmaceutical, food, beverage and nutraceuticals industries providing items with unique information for product verification and traceability as well as reveal a wide variety of product intelligence.

Lisa has over 20 year experience working in the Food Safety Industry across Australia and Europe. She has extensive experience as an Auditor, Trainer and Consultant.
Lisa is certified with Exemplar Global as a Principal Food Safety and Quality Auditor and is approved to audit a wide range of food industry sectors including meat & smallgoods, dairy, seafood, catering, warehousing & distribution, ready meal manufacture, bakery, fruit & vegetable, food ingredient manufacture and preserved foods.
She has audited throughout Australia and internationally. Standards that she audits include HACCP, SQF, Coles, Aldi, McDonalds, ISO22000, FSSC22000, BRC, ISO9001, Costco & Woolworths Supplier Excellence. She gained industry recognition in 2014 being named as the Australian Food Safety Auditor of the Year.
Lisa’s particular expertise is in the area of integrated food safety and quality management system audits.
She also works in a consultancy role with a range of clients to assist them with meeting regulatory and customer requirements.
Since joining PwC, Lisa has been involved in many new and challenging projects that look to bring real solutions to the food industry.
