You will look at ways to reduce the amount of packaging material used, increase the amount of material being recycled and implement internal energy reduction programs for, say, oven efficiency or electricity use. You could be responsible for odour and noise control, stormwater management and wastewater treatment.

As an environmental scientist, you will work in a team responsible for managing environmental risks and minimising the number of environmental incidents in food production. Your team will create systems that ensure manufacturers’ operations are sustainable and comply with environmental laws.
