When a new food product has been designed or an existing product is reformulated for alternative ingredients, the process design and construction team is brought on board to develop a manufacturing system that is cost effective, efficient - and can be built!

This team consists mostly of Chemical Engineers, Systems Designers or IT Specialists. You will develop concise mechanical design and process solutions - creating concepts and enhancing designs aiming for ‘World Best’ standards. You will be resolving complex problems and implementing new design initiatives or even designing production hardware and process lines.

Food Technologists who like computer modelling or engineering problems can expand on their skills and knowledge by being involved in process design. Engineers or IT majors can branch into food technology and the exciting manufacturing planning phase.
