2011 Securing Global Food Safety

14th Australian Food Microbiology Conference - 2nd IAFP Asia Pacific Symposium on Food Safety

This joint conference/symposium, was held at The Sebel Albert Park, Melbourne, Victoria 26 - 28 September 2011

A highlight was the Hot Topics Session held on Wednesday 28th September, on Recent incidents that changed the food safety world.

This session  comprised a panel of world expert speakers presenting at the Securing Global Food Safety Conference, each describing a food safety incident and how it has changed the world. Delegates were able to participate in the discussion about incidents that are “game changing” and that can cause a “paradigm shift”!

2011 Annual Convention

The Convention theme “Tackling Tomorrow Today” – what can we be doing today, that will help solve some of the problems we forsee for the future?

In line with the theme, delegates were shown practical solutions for the big problems heading our way. The Convention themes encouraged ideas and plans that scientists and technologists can work on now, that assist in their jobs and businesses.

2011 Dietary Fibre and Health Conference

On 16 and 17 May, more than 100 delegates attended the AIFST and CSIRO Dietary Fibre and Health Conference at the Stamford Grand Hotel at Glenelg, Adelaide. The conference explored and built on the current understanding of the role that fibre plays in digestive health.
